47: memory security, the editing thereof

Apropos of http://www.livejournal.com/support/see_request.bml?id=1032126: http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=47 implies that you must edit memory security one by one, but does not outright say this.
Current:
On this page, you can edit the memory's description, keywords, and security level. You can also delete the memory. This does not delete the original entry; it only removes it from your memory listing. There are several ways to delete a memory:
* Deleting a Single Memory: Erase your description, then click the submit button. If the entry has been deleted, you will see a button which will allow you to delete the memory. * Deleting Multiple Memories: Click on the specific memory category that contains the memories you want to delete, and add &multidelete=1 to the end of that URL in your web browser's address bar. Check the box next to each memory you wish to delete, then click the Delete Selected button.

userpics on recent entries

FAQ 95 on userpic keywords says this:
"If you want your style to display your userpics alongside your entries on your Recent Entries page, you will need to use keywords to select the images when posting and customize your style."
I know you don't need to select a keyword in order for the userpic to display on recent entries. I think most styles will display them without the user going out of their way to make it happen, and I don't think Support gets a lot of questions about how to include userpics on recent entries, so it seems like this is no longer something that needs to be addressed. But definitely the part about the keywords is incorrect.

LJ.XMLRPC.addcomment

Has anyone successfully used the undocumented addcomment XMLRPC method?
It seems to take journal, ditemid, parenttalkid, poster, body, subject and props.
ditemid is self-explanatory, but I'm not sure what parenttalkid is. Every time I've tried to call the method, I get an error of 'No such entry. at /home/lj/cgi-bin/ljprotocol.pl line 250'. Looking at the code, this is right after the journal specified by the journal argument is pulled from the table. Any ideas?
